Harrisburg re-signs Fisher

HARRISBURG, PA -- Steve Fisher, a local product of Hershey High School, has re-signed with the City Islanders for another season.

Fisher scored Harrisburg's first-ever goal Having been with the Islanders since year one, Fisher brings a blend of pace, strength, and aerial presence to the team in both wide mid-field and forward areas. Last season Fisher posted one goal and two assists in eighteen regular season matches with both assists coming on game winning goals.

During his career on the Island Fisher has made a habit of contributing at just the right time, including scoring three of the most important goals in team history. On May 8, 2004 he netted the first ever score for the franchise. Last season he pocketed the decisive goal in the Islanders 1-0 victory over DC United in the US Open Cup.

That feat was followed by a playoff semifinal winning goal in Cleveland in the 106th minute of play.

Along with the heroic goals Fisher has also been a model of consistency as he has now appeared in a team record 65 contests over the past four seasons.
